CRADLE OF FILTH – The Screaming Of The Valkyries

Cradle of Filth’s upcoming 14th studio album, The Screaming of the Valkyries, is set for release on March 21, 2025, via Napalm Records.

This album promises to encapsulate the band’s legacy while venturing into new musical territories.

The lead single, “To Live Deliciously,” showcases rhythmic urgency intertwined with a Libertine lyrical hook, blending aggression, atmosphere, and melody. Frontman Dani Filth describes the track as a celebration of life, embracing indulgence free from societal constraints.

The album’s lineup features Dani Filth’s distinctive vocals alongside twin guitar assaults, symphonic elements, and a dynamic rhythm section, comprising drummer Martin “Marthus” Skaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Marek “Ashok” Smerda and Donny Burbage, and keyboardist/vocalist Zoe Federoff.

Tracks like “Demagoguery” blend dark beauty with blast beats and groove, while “White Hellebore” juxtaposes traditional heavy metal with thrashing fury. “Non Omnis Moriar” offers a mournful melody reminiscent of bands like Paradise Lost or Anathema, and “You Are My Nautilus” spins an epic tale with dueling guitars.

Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England, The Screaming of the Valkyries invites listeners into a new era of Cradle of Filth’s gothic misadventures, celebrating melancholic melodies, blackened thrash, and existential themes.

With this release, Cradle of Filth continues to solidify their position as pioneers in the extreme metal genre, offering both longtime fans and new listeners a darkly enchanting experience.
